1. Can you please tell us more about your business?

We sell insurance products on behalf of The Unlimited.

2. When, how, and why did you start your business?

I joined the business straight out of school in 2021. I always knew I wanted more out of life, but I didn’t know where to begin. Then I heard about The Unlimited and how they help ordinary South Africans build their own businesses from the ground up. No qualifications needed. Just the right attitude.

3. What is your role in the business?

I’m an Owner. I have a team that I teach how to sell insurance and how to train others.

4. Where did you study, and what did you study?

I didn’t go to university. I joined The Unlimited straight after school, and everything I know about sales, leadership, and business has come from The Unlimited’s world-class training.

5. How did you finance your business?

That’s the best part! I didn’t need capital to get started. The Unlimited funds the model. They provide the products, the training, the systems, and the support. All I had to bring was a great attitude and a good work ethic.

6. Describe your average workday, if such a thing exists.

I start every day by setting a goal for the day (my goals keep me going, especially on the tough days). That is followed by a powerful morning meeting. The whole business comes together to celebrate wins from the day before. We also do pitch practice, sharpen our skills, and then we hit the road in teams to sell. We’re back at the office by 5 pm to wrap up and share learnings. Some days we travel long distances, and others we’re right in the heart of the city. We work hard, learn fast, and always aim to improve.

7. How do you balance your home life and your work life?

Right now, I’m still young and chasing a big Dream. I’m working hard to build my future. But when I do get time off, I love spending it with my family or visiting different restaurants and guest houses, so I get ideas for my house one day.

8. What drives you and inspires you?

My parents. They sacrificed so much for me. I want to build a life that honours that. I want to be the one giving back to them, not just saying thank you with words, but with actions. In fact, I have already built my mom a house in KZN. I also want to be an independent woman who’s invests in her business, drives her dream car and is able to move her entire family out of the township. That’s what keeps me going!

9. Where and when do you have your best ideas?

Definitely after listening to or watching positive/personal development audios and videos. They keep me going and remind me why I do what I do.

10. Where and how do you market/advertise your business for sales leads?

We go straight to the people. We engage with potential customers face to face, and we connect with them directly. We look for people who are willing to save money and protect their family; people who can afford our products and see the value in what we offer.

11. What is next for your business?

Growth. I want to build a bigger team and help shift more lives.

12. What advice would you give to female entrepreneurs hoping to start their own business?

Have a big dream and don’t quit. Believe in yourself, even when it’s hard. Never stop learning. You’re more capable than you think. Age is just a number. You can be successful if you stay consistent and pass on your opportunity to others.
