Ladies, have you ever found yourself constantly hand-holding your clients, going above and beyond just to keep them? Do you feel like you need to do more, be more, just to prevent them from leaving? I see this all the time, and I’ve been there myself. Many of my female clients experience this pattern before they begin to untangle their unconscious programming.
This behavior often stems from a deep-seated, subconscious belief in a fear of not being good enough that took root in childhood and still influences your business today. I was in my 40s when I finally recognized it in myself. I had spent so much money working on my conscious mind, believing I loved myself and had high self-worth. And consciously, I was right. But beneath the surface, a hidden program was running the show, one driven by people-pleasing and a subconscious fear that if I didn’t over-deliver, my clients would walk away.
You are enough
Your skills, knowledge, and expertise are what your clients truly need. They come to you because you are an expert, someone who can guide them to success, not because you mother them.
It’s time to trust yourself and your abilities
While your subconscious may try to convince you otherwise, you have the power to reprogram those beliefs. Stand firm in your worth, set healthy boundaries, and watch your business thrive as you attract clients who value and respect you for who you truly are. Nurturing is part of our nature, but as a mentor, coach, practitioner, or consultant, your role is to empower, not to carry.
When subconscious unworthiness is running the show, it can feel validating to have clients depend on you, you feel important, needed. But when you step into your feminine power, that dynamic starts to feel off because deep down, you know you’re doing them a disservice.
Step into your power. Trust your value. Let go of the need to mother your clients, and watch how your business transforms.
