Dynamic women making a difference in the lives of thousands of people across the Cape Peninsula and beyond will be honoured by Steenberg Farm at a Women’s Month celebration on 22 August.
Famed for the pioneering spirit of founder Catharina “Tryn” Ras, who became Southern Africa’s first female landowner in the 1700s, Steenberg is the perfect setting to raise a glass to South Africa’s changemakers and all women!
The evening will be hosted at the estate’s Bistro Sixteen82 restaurant. Guests will be treated to Steenberg’s iconic bubbly and magnificent three-course dinner whilst hearing more about Tryn Ras’s story and incredible legacy, together with a panel discussion showcasing the impact women are making in South Africa.
Acclaimed South Africa social commentator Lisa Sonn, Georgina Rae Bennet, director of Style Rotate sustainable fashion brand and arts enrichment initiative Safe Study, and Jillane Jacobs, founder of JLK Integrated Care, an NPO offering midwife-led community care programmes and training, will enthrall guests with their respective life experiences to emphasise why women are playing such a powerful role in society today.
This celebration of women is not to be missed, so make sure to book through Dineplan now.
