Finding skin care products that match both your lifestyle and beliefs can be a challenging task, especially when it comes to the specific needs of vegan or Islamic lifestyles. Taahirah, a local skincare line by award-winning Alchem Labs Manufacturing, was launched with the goal of making premium, plant-based skincare products that are suitable for everyone, regardless of your age, culture, or beliefs.

The recent launch of the Taahirah website speaks to this goal by making reliable Halaal skin care products readily available to South African consumers. The website serves as a platform to inform those interested in learning more about the brand, its story, and its products and offers a transparent approach to ingredients used.

Developed by Biochemist Aziza-Elize Brady, each Taahirah product has been specially formulated using botanical extracts, natural antioxidants, and vitamins combined with cutting edge technology and science. The result is a range of products that are highly effective and yet gentle, penetrating the deeper layers of the skin to repair and nourish from within.

Certified by the South African National Halaal Authority, Taahirah products are free from alcohol, harsh chemicals, mineral and palm oil, parabens, sulphates, and synthetic colourants and fragrances, and are cruelty-free, vegan, and non-toxic.

“Even with 35 years of experience working in and around the skincare industry, I realized how hard it was to find easily accessible and effective products that aligned with my personal belief systems, particularly when it came to Halaal skincare,” said Brady. “I knew that I wasn’t alone in this struggle and decided to take my knowledge and expertise from decades of product development and formulation to create a product range that addressed these specific issues that many consumers face.”

Consisting of 19 products, the Taahriah range includes anti-aging, brightening, purifying, and sensitive skin products, as well as a body care range, all of which are available on the new website at www.taahirah.co.za.
