Vatiswa Mavume, a qualified and trained 45-year old Wellness Coach who has been changing the lives of South African individuals for the past six years is delighted to have recently launched a Wellness and Lifestyle Nutrition Club at the beginning of March 2020 in Leonardo Park Centre, Parklands, Cape Town. The idea to open this luxurious establishment came about when Vatiswa realised that clients need more than just coaching for fitness, lifestyle and nutritional habits.
Clients, as individuals, need a place to go to where they can receive something more personal than your everyday wellness coaching, nutrition and everything in between. The Wellness and Lifestyle Nutrition Club is aimed at opening opportunities for client interaction with likeminded individuals, coaches as well as hear and grow by means of others’ success stories in this new establishment. It is, therefore, a go-to lifestyle destination where your visits are personalised in a sense that the client feels like they are part of the club, they belong to the club which also involves motivating and inspiring one another through broadening knowledge and looking at wellness and lifestyle from a different perspective.
Although South African businesses are experiencing a complete lockdown, it is business as usual for the motivational coach who has taken her business and clients online. “We need to remember that our bodies know nothing about any 21-day-lockdown. This is why we have taken everything online using our WhatsApp group and ZOOM channel to keep clients and individuals motivated to continue looking after their bodies bearing in mind that it is still 80% nutrition and 20% exercise as usual.”
Body Transformation
Since the lockdown, Wellness Coach Vatiswa Mavume has been having online ZOOM Breakfast sessions daily from Monday to Friday from 8H30 to 9H30 where wellness coaches, clients, and individuals from all over the world meet up to share recipes and ideas about the most important meal of the day. It does not start and end there.
Vatiswa has a WhatsApp group titled BODY TRANSFORMATION with over 130 participants who motivate each other about wellness and nutrition and how to beat this pandemic that has walked upon us as individuals and businesses. Every morning, the group consists of motivational messages, home exercise videos, lunch and dinner recipes as well as ways to keep your friends and family safe by continuously boosting our immune system, eating right, all at the comfort of your own home.
Every Saturday, the usual Fitcamp24 hosted by Coach Eric Aguebor has now also been moved online via ZOOM where all are invited to attend for a 45 minutes intense workout session starting from 8 AM. There is so much to explore and enjoy when it comes to Wellness Coach, Vatiswa Mavume.
Wellness Coach Vatiswa Mavume
Wellness Coach Vatiswa Mavume says: “It has always been my plan to dig deeper into matters of health and wellness while looking at solutions on how to effectively impact South African communities to live a healthy active lifestyle. The lockdown should not stop us, it should not stop anybody.”
The hardworking wellness coach, who has now joined forces with her husband, Bongs Mavume, is now more determined than ever as he has now locked arms with her on this amazing journey since he has witnessed the impact a lifestyle choice can do for all individuals. Bongs has joined as a business partner for the Wellness and Lifestyle Nutrition Club and also assists with the coaching to motivate and keep clients satisfied. “I can no longer sit back and watch, I must now embark on this journey as it has made a huge difference in my life as a whole”, says Bongs Mavume.
Not only will the Wellness and Lifestyle Nutrition Club bring Cape Town community members tailor-made nutritional programmes where individuals are assisted with their personal and lifestyle journey on a daily basis, but members will also benefit from fitness evaluations, accessibility to highly trained coaches, attending fitness camps and events, meal planning and recipes as well as utilize the club for their own use as it will be a free WIFI Zone where people will be able to have their laptops and experience an office away from their offices.
Born and raised in a rural community called Inqeleni, the other side of Mthatha in Eastern Cape, Vatiswa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from the University of Fort Hare. She has held many positions from marketing to entrepreneurship and wellness coaching which further motivated her to pursue the Wellness and Lifestyle Nutrition Club to continue serving South Africa and the world beyond. Vatiswa has never been happier knowing she will be helping others even more to change their lifestyles and in turn make themselves happy as well.
Vatiswa’s wellness method has always consisted of individual as well as group coaching. She says individual coaching is very crucial because when you are sitting with a person, you are able to help them design their goals while group coaching consists of forty to fifty people that are eventually turned into smaller groups in order to be able to focus on each person’s goals. The Wellness and Lifestyle Nutrition Club aim to have a number of coaches available at a time. “People who visit the club will have the choice to be allocated or not be allocated to a wellness coach. It is all a process, not everyone will be members on their first visit but the club is about mixing apples with apples”, adds Vatiswa.
The entrepreneur turned wellness coach and now the nutrition club owner says she is ready for what owning such an establishment will bring. “Like any other business, the risks and challenges have been calculated but mostly, transforming lives will be our bottom line.

She has succeeded in her journey because of her Conviction, Passion, Dedication, and Commitment which she passes on to her clients.

The moment you start eating well and you start following a good programme, you will see great results and a different you. Vatiswa has used what was given to her, the changes she saw in herself, the way she felt to start impacting the next person. She says you must have a passion for people to do this job.
