Join our Women For Change 5/8km Run in Sandton City, Johannesburg on Saturday, 30th November 2019 to celebrate our freedom. Bringing together women from all communities and stand united for a better future for women, for our children, for all of us. We matter!
As women, we need to stand united to put an end to violence against women and children! Let’s run together to claim back our safety and cherish the beautiful souls, who have been senselessly killed in this country!
In awareness of the 16 Days of Activism, thousands of women will run united on the 30th November 2019 through the streets of Sandton, join us!
As women, we want to stand united to put an end to violence against women and children. Daily we hear news about attacks, women, and children being violated in many ways: in their homes, on the streets and places of education.
Even being outdoors in nature harbors a potential threat. The Women for Change movement was founded by Catch Me If You Can.
Our first ‘Women for Change’ event took place in Tokai Forest, on the 15th March 2016, only a few days after the brutal murders of Franziska Blöchliger (Tokai Forest) and Sinoxolo Mafevuka (Khayelitsha).
The event was held with more than 3 500 people from all over Cape Town, who came together to pay tribute to each woman and child who have been senselessly killed in this country.
Since that we had several Women for Change Runs in Johannesburg and Cape Town to drive awareness on violence against women and children in South Africa.
Thousands of women, men and children have joined us nationwide to end this epidemic.
